Q. What is the commission charged by
UFPI for representation?
A. UFPI offers two types of
representation. The first is representation by an Manager, to which the
client is charged 10% commission by the Manager for all work the client
completes. The second is representation by an Agent, to which the client
is charged 10% commission by the Agent for all work secured by the
Agent. If the client secures their own work they will not have to pay
the Agent a commission.
Q. Who does UFPI represent?
A. UFPI represents a large number of
clients across the entertainment industry. Who we do or don't represent
will have no bearing on another clients career. If you are talented at
what you do and are looking for representation then apply to UFPI. But
please do not be under the illusion that high profile clients at UFPI
will help your career if you are represented at the same agency as them,
because you are only wasting our time and yours.
Q. What sort of projects have clients
previously secured work on?
A. UFPI secure auditions (Talent
Management International) or interviews (Creative Artists Management)
for their clients. It is then up to the client to perform well and
secure the part or job. Pervious and present clients of UFPI have
auditions and secured parts on The Guards, Resident Evil 4, Harry Potter
and the Half Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,
Your Highness, Seeing Smoke, The Dammed United, The Tudors, Three and
Out, The Dark Knight, Quantum of Solace, Hollyoaks, Fair City, The Bill,
and many more including theatre and commercials.
Q. Outside of representation at
UFPI, am I allow to pursue work myself?
A. If you are represented by a Manager at
UFPI then you are not permitted to pursue any work yourself. If you are
represented by an Agent at UFPI then yes you are allowed to pursue work
directly yourself if you so wish. However it is highly recommended that
you discuss these plans with your Agent. If you submit yourself for work
your Agent has already pitched you for, you make both yourself and your
Agent look foolish and unprofessional.
Q. Can I have other representation
while represented at UFPI?
A. While represented at UFPI, you are
represented in Ireland, the United Kingdom and United States of America,
and each Agent has their own team. However should you wish to sign with
other representation you are permitted to do so, provided that you give
us written conformation to the company prior to signing with other
representation, otherwise you are in breach of your agreement with UFPI.
If you are represented by a Manager you can only sign with other
representatives through your Manager, otherwise you are in breach of
your agreement with UFPI.
Q. If either side wishes to terminate
the agreement, can they, and if so what is the time period?
A. If UFPI wishes to drop the client, or
the client wishes to leave UFPI, either side is required to give twenty
(20) days written notification. The client is also permitted during
notification or following to allow UFPI to close out any business
currently in pursuit on the clients behalf. If the client refuses to
adhere to said business developments, UFPI may invoice the client for
time lost, or file legal action against the client for breach of
contract.
